Aug 11, 2006

Hi everyone! I know it's been awhile since I last wrote so I thought I better update you all on my life since my last email. I hope all of you are doing good and are enjoying the summer. I just got back from my annual family reunion and it was so great to see my family and jam around the campfire and play in the lake...this year finally had good weather and we all definitely enjoyed it! I'm so thankful to my family for my love of music...I'll always remember getting to take part in the campfire singalong every year and then going off to bed in the tent and listening to my aunts and uncles continue singing and playing for another few hours...it was always so much fun! It still is!! :0)

I have enjoyed performing this summer so far and thanks to all of you that came out to hear me sing. Merritt Mountainfest was a blast once again...thanks to Don Adams and everybody else for putting on another top notch weekend. And the Abbotsford Berryfest was awesome as well! Great weather and great entertainment! Thanks Christine F. for your encouraging words before I hit the stage...you're a real sweetie and you sounded great too! I also loved being a part of this year's Jubilee Park Summer Series in Abbotsford. What a great turnout! My band and I had a blast playing for you and a special thanks to that lovely lady that came up and danced in the front! You looked great and were having so much fun! That's what it's all about! I am really looking forward to performing some more this year. I am heading off to play in Merritt again in a couple of weeks, so if anyone is in the area, I would love to see you. I am also looking forward to this year's BC Country Music Awards! The Board of Directors, members, volunteers, artists and musicans all put on such an amazing show every year! I am so honoured to be a part of this awesome organization. Please check their website out for info at www.bccountry.com

I am looking forward to completing my second CD and getting it out to radio in the new year. I am so proud of the sound so far and can't wait till it's all done! Working with Ron, my hubby, Kris, and all the other talented musicians and writers on this CD has been a dream come true for me! I am so blessed!

Jun 1, 2006 Hi there,

I just wanted to write and let you all know how excited I am about performing again this summer and I hope to see you at one of my shows! I also recently had the wonderful opportunity to record four more songs at the Warehouse Studio in Vancouver for my upcoming CD and it was an experience I will never forget! The studio and staff were amazing, the musicians were awesome (Ron, Tom, Jay, Dennis and Mike) and so much fun to work with and Ron Briggs did another top notch job in the producer's chair. I can't wait for the finished product and I hope to be releasing my new CD by the beginning of next year.

Please drop me a line anytime...I would love to hear from you!

Take care,

Nikki

All the performers were incredible, the band was awesome, the MC's were fabulous and the whole evening was so much fun!!! Thank-you to the BCCMA for putting on yet another wonderful show!! It really went off without a hitch!! I also want to thank the BCCMA for allowing me to have my song, "Gone" on their 1st compilation CD! We picked one up and it rocks...it just goes to show ya that there is undeniable talent in BC!

I feel so blessed to have been recognized as a nominee this year in the female and horizon categories and I want to congratulate all the winners in every category, as they are all very deserving!!!

Well, things seem to be slowing down just a bit with just a handful of performances happening over the next couple of months...but I am looking forward to 2006 and all the wonderful opportunities and memories that are going to be made!!

I will be attending the CD release parties (and official record company launch) of Echo One Productions on Nov. 11 and 13th at Cheers and the Roxy! Sep 26, 2005 BCCMA Nominations

Hi everyone,

I hope this email finds you all doing well! The summer went by quickly but not without the making of some amazing memories...My band and I enjoyed playing at all sorts of different venues, including opening for Julian Austin, performing at the One Year Anniversary of Campground "C" at the Roxy, the Hyack Festivals, the Cloverdale Rodeo Breakfast, Ladner May Days, the Abbotsford Berry Festival, the Envision Twilight Series at Fraser River Heritage Park, Gabby's Country Cabaret, Cactus Annies, and lots of other wonderful events around the lower mainland! I really appreciate all of your support and want to thank everyone that came out to hear us this summer! You really are making my dreams come true!!

I also wanted to let you all know that I've been nominated for 2 BC Country Music Awards this year and couldn't be more excited!! It is such an honour being nominated in the same category as some very amazing and established performers! I am nominated in the Female Vocalist and Horizon Award categories! My webmaster for www.nikkiwerner.com, Gary Mazur, is also up for website of the year and I wish him all the best - he's done an incredible job!! The BC Country Music Awards are happening over two nights, Oct. 15th (Industry Awards at the Fox and Fiddle) and Oct. 16th at the Bell Centre in Surrey. You can purchase tickets through the Bell Centre Box Office or go to www.bccountry.com for more details and a look at all the BC Country Music nominees.

Last week I entered the BCCMA Country Unlplugged Talent Contest. I haven’t done a contest since I was a kid and I made the top 10. I will get to perform again next Tuesday and hopefully next Thursday as well. You should come out and support the singers in this contest – they are simply amazing. The judges sure have a tough job! The contest starts at 7:30pm and is held at the Fox and Fiddle in Langley.

I am looking forward to sharing the stage with the very talented Chelsea Hardman at MacBurney's Coffee House in Langley for a showcase of original material on Wed. Sept. 28th from 8pm to 9pm and would love to see you there! I am also perfoming an acoustic set with my band at Mission Springs Brewery on Oct. 6th - it should be a lot of fun! My band and I are also going to be putting on a Christmas Benefit Concert sometime in December and will let you know more details once we know them. We put on "Christmas for the Littlest Among us" in Mission last year and shared the stage with some wonderful entertainers and look forward to doing that again! This year we plan to not have it so close to Christmas Day though... :0)

I will also be posting a snippet from my new song that I recorded called "How Can you Love Someone" very soon on the website. I can't wait for you to hear it! I am working with Ron Briggs (Lisa Brokop, Farmers Daughter, Aaron Pritchett - please check out his awesome website at www.ronbriggs.ca) and he is so much fun to work with and so good at what he does both in producing and drumming (plus a wealth of other things)!! We are gearing up to release this single nationally sometime in the early new year, so cross your fingers and listen for it!!

I want to thank you all again for your support and encouragement! Thanks for coming to my site and I always love seeing new Guestbook comments – so sign away! See you soon!
